Definitions of what is adsl/dsl:

• ADSL stands for Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line, or just Digital Subscriber Line, as American’s call it. ADSL is a high speed broadband internet service, which can be installed to work in your existing phone line, once it has been converted to digital. ADSL uses much higher frequencies than conventional dial up services, enabling you to use the service whilst on the phone and up to 100 X faster than traditional dial up ISP’s.
