Definitions of getting the server ip address:

• When a network client station wants to access a server, it broadcasts the servers IP address on the LAN (which it already knows) and waits for the server to respond with its MAC address (which it did not know). All subsequent client communication with the server uses the servers MAC address as the destination. This process is called address resolution (ergo Address Resolution Protocol ARP).
